Book Store

Academy 13 Book Store is the parent institution of Academy 13: The Imhotep College for Young Scholars where community participates in the sponsoring and educational development of its young people.

Every community needs an academic hub that serves the academic and educational needs for all ages. History has demonstrated that the most successful colleges and universities thrived because they were supported by an all inclusive community research center. The Malian city of Timbuktu and the University of Sankore are a prime example. The city of Timbuktu was a hub of international trade, and at it center was a book trade.

Academy 13 Book Store will function as a community training center that hosts Saturday schools for grades K-12 in mathematics and reading, adult education classes, a research center for community scholars, and access to online education classes sponsored by other city and state institutions. It will also host public and private readings, performances, and cultural celebrations. Academy 13 Book Store is the place where learning is a lifestyle and part and partial to community engagement and development.
